Is your child's development normal?

Parents love seeing their children grow up and hit different stages of child development. However, there very different pictures may mislead parents into believing that their children are being left behind.

Even if you think your child is falling behind not so much. All children develop at different rates, it is not fair to put a number. The letters are there just for average, to help parents planning for the future, because eventually, all children affected milestones on the right.

communicate with other parents about child development and tips on how to help your own child in a gentle manner that will not diminish your child's self-esteem. All parents want their children to hit all stages of early childhood development, or immediately, and most children do not. It is important to work with their children and help them achieve the goals, but it is equally important not to force anything to their children.

Here is a list of important child development stages and the average age children are supposed to reach the following stages:

  • At 2 years the child will learn the words together to form complete sentences, learning to use adjectives (happy, Sad, large), have a vocabulary of about 50 or more words, and speak clearly enough for parents to understand at least half of what they are saying. The Social skills are another thing that most parents worry when thinking about child development. Around 2, children begin to be aware of their identity individual, can be challenging, developing an interest in playing with other children and, sometimes, their separation anxiety begins to fade. Cognitively, the 2 years, children begin to play make-believe, more or fewer objects by colors and shapes scribbling on paper (each refrigerator favorite stage of development kids!) and find hidden objects. Physically, children at this stage of development of the child should be able to walk, climb on furniture, try to run, be able to build towers of blocks and small objects of empty containers.
  • At age 3 children should be able to name objects common household, to know their names, and use plural pronouns, as well as being able to answer simple questions (how old are you, What did you do today ... etc). Most children this age also begin to imitate their parents and friends, learn to take turns, expressing affection, and being away their parents for long periods of time. Cognitive development of children at the age of 3 means that children often will be playing make believe, knows colors and shapes, understand spatial concepts (in, on, over, under), and circles back. Physically, children must learn to climb stairs, kicking, climbing, running, ride a tricycle, building towers of blocks of six or more and turn the pages of books.
  • For 4 years of age in developing children, children should be able to describe the uses of common household objects, speak clearly enough to "family members can not understand, using verbs ending in 'ing' and use the past tense, and be able to tell simple stories. Socially, children begin to play well together, collaborating with playmates, try to solve problems, is interested in doing new things, and gradually becoming more independent. Physically, in stages of child development, Children must be increasingly active, being able to stand on one foot for short amounts of time, throwing and kicking balls, learn to catch, dress and undress themselves and should learn to use scissors (with supervision of course!). Apart from that, cognitive, most charts say child development for 4 years of age, children should be increasingly involved in complex pretend play (playing house, doctor, etc), being able to write some capital letters, names of all colors and attract people with 2-4 parts of the body.
  • At 5 years children should be able to use complex sentences, know your name and address, use of future times, and understand the words that rhyme. At this stage of child development, children begin to want to be like friends, learn to follow the rules, understand different genres, and the desire to do things alone. This is also an interesting stage in the child's cognitive development. Children 5 years start using your imagination to create and tell stories, the biggest name colors, count 10 objects, the difference between fantasy and reality, copy different ways and understand the concept of time. At 5 years children should also learn to jump, swing, do somersaults, learn to ride a bike swimming, and should be able to brush teeth and hair, and be able to address other personal needs.

Remember, child development Lists are lists, and there is no set of rules for ALL children. Many children have been known to be behind its development during the younger ages, but met with great success, as it grew. So if your child is delayed in accordance with this list, can not be a cause for concern. Children with time learn how to do these things, at their own pace. Child development is a complex thing and children should never be killed or stressed because they develop more slowly.
