Who I can contact about the lack of educational programs for children with special needs?

My son just turned 3 years and has been diagnosed with having autistic traits. His speech / occupational therapy expired when she turned 3 years and no shortage of programs here in Louisiana that can offer the services you need. I am a single mother, full-time work and the options were too expensive or I have to cut my work to bring it back and forth a meeting of the school part time. I feel that there is very little out there full-time working and single parents. Who in the government I contact to express my concern about this?

The school district must provide transportation for your child. Services your child receives are determined by their IEP. The IEP should include transportation. You should find a support group in your area that can help you deal with the school district. If you need help finding a group, it is possible to speak with a reference librarian at the public library. If the school violates the law, for example, refuse to provide transportation, then you can contact your department State education to file a complaint.
