Foster parents....?
I work with a lady who also works at a HOSS's in central PA. She told me that even though her foster parents are her legal parents she was told they could not use her employee family discount since they were not blood related. Does this not seem really wrong to anyone else??? That is like saying your adoptive parents arent your parents.

It is wrong the way other people treat foster families. But legally her foster parrents are not her legal guardian. All children in the foster care system are legal guardian's of the state. Foster parents are given discression for overseeing things like doctor appts. school activities ect. But even simple things like an out of state family vacation require permission from the child's legal guardian who is the state. The fact that her work place won't allow the family to use the discount is extream and wrong from a moral standpoint.
