Please explain why dealing with their parents divorce can be difficult for many teens.

Once you've lived with your parents together for so long and then they spilt its really tough on the kid. My parents divorced when i was 12 almost 13 and i didnt see it coming it was really hard on me to because my mom always promised me that they wouldnt get a divorce. They had a fight the nite before and my mom promised me that she wasnt going to file for a divorce but then she went ahead and did it the next day i was upset and mad.
I think it is hard because ur just used to things being the way they are.
Its also really hard to trust them because my parents are trying to get back together and i am afraid that it wont work rite after i get used to things again. it just scared me that they are going to get a divorce or spilt up again.
