Legal question for single parents in Canada?

Does anyone know what are the legal rights of a parent if your children are outside in pregnancy and have made numerous statements that will give priority to their children from a previous relationship over the new baby?? 'm financially, emotionally and physically capable to raise this child on my own, and would prefer that if you do not want to participate, then you just cut the ties. I think that would be detrimental to my child in the future to know that his father is openly differently. He was involved in the pregnancy at first, but now they want to be. The ways in which it was stated that different address: Failure to recognize this child to your family or friends. It's not going to put pictures of this child anywhere in your home, etc. He did not put the needs of this child on the needs their previous child. ... But still wants 50/50 custody. I think this is ridiculous! Does anyone know what is in the custody laws of a father??

Your best bet is to go to a 15 minutes without consulting with a lawyer who will be up to date on new laws, as there have been several changes in recent years to right family. I think if you can show that he is being a father to the child, especially if no financial contribution from him, you can get sole custody. I could be wrong, however, so check with an attorney.
