Teenage parenting?
i am doing an independant research project on teenage parenting and need some statistics. These questions do not mean to offend or be descraminatory towards teen parents, just trying to get some statistics.
1. Did the father of your child leave?
2. Do you get government support?
3. Are you living at home?
4. Do you have a job?
5. Do you feel that you struggle to find your own identity while trying to help your child develop their own?
6. Has becoming a parent set you back in terms of completing goals, getting a job and your own housing?
I got pregnant at 17 and delivered at 18 and I am currently 18 with a 6.5 month old.
1. No, we live together.
2. My son has medicaid and that it is.
3. No, I am not living at hom but I live with him and his mom.
4. I worked two jobs while I was pregnant and I have worked part-time and temporary jobs since I have had him but currently I am going to college full-time.
5. No. I do not stuggle trying to find my own identity. I know who I am and exactly what I want in life.
6. Having a baby has not set me back. I am going to college full-time as I would be if I were not a parent.
